Councillor Mark Estey is a husband and father who is proud to call Maple Hills home. Together with his wife, Stephanie, they are raising their two sons, Jonah and Logan. Outside of his professional and council responsibilities, Mark can often be found cheering on his boys at their sporting events.
Mark graduated from Crandall University in 2004 and later completed Western University's multi-year Business Essentials program. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and co-owner of Adams Pest Control. His diverse background in finance, business operations, and strategic planning provides a practical perspective on municipal decision-making.
Throughout his career, Mark has served on numerous boards of directors, strengthening his leadership, governance, and financial oversight skills. He believes in finding practical solutions that address the needs of residents while maintaining a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys giving back to the community. He is an active member of the MWR Rotary Club, volunteers at Queen of All Saints Parish, and serves on committees supporting local sports organizations.
Mark's passion for public service began during the community's efforts to oppose the amalgamation of Lutes Mountain into the City of Moncton. Working alongside fellow residents through public meetings, petitions, and discussions with the Province, he experienced firsthand the strength of a community coming together to protect its identity and rural way of life. Reflecting on that experience, Mark says, "I witnessed the power of a community working together to make its voice heard. That experience inspired me to seek a position on council so I could continue advocating for the interests of Maple Hills and help ensure our community remains a great place to live for generations to come."
Today, Mark is honoured to serve the residents of Maple Hills. He is committed to responsible financial stewardship, transparent decision-making, and preserving the rural character and strong sense of community that make Maple Hills such a special place to call home.
